Day 11 - Moving on down

Jumped on the scale this morning after a very good eating and exercising day and saw a nice downward tick of .8 -- 179.2 wootwoot :) Hoping to continue that downward track and hit 172 before June 24 when I leave for my first beach vacation...I'm going to push really hard and hope to do it. Wish me luck.

Day 10 - Survived the weekend.....barely

Weighed in this morning at 180lbs even. Down 2.6 from my sodium bloated weekend. I'm hoping to see even lower tomorrow now that I'm back to healthy eating and exercise. We've got no events planned for the upcoming weekend so it should be much easier to stay on plan and not overdo it this weekend. How did everyone else manage this weekend?

Day 5 - Long weekend ahead

Hey all!! I went to the gym last night and did the arc trainer for 40 minutes for a 515 calorie burn :) Can you say AWESOME!! I also went out for fro-yo with my kids for dessert. Yummy again, of course. Woke up this morning and weighed in at 178.8 - down 1.4 from yesterday. Very excited by this. I have several activities/events going on this weekend and my goal is to still be in the 170's come Tuesday morning when all is said and done. I will be going to the gym tonight and Sunday with a break day tomorrow just because of lack of time between baseball and a cookout at my husbands aunts house. So far this week I have gone to the gym M,T, W, Th - very proud of having not skipped a day yet. I have to keep it going because I can see the results and that makes me a happy, happy girl.

Day 4...Keep on keeping on

Another down tick on the scale this morning down .4 to 180.2 - not a big jump but every little bit adds up. I went to the gym last night with a friend and burned 415 calories on the arc trainer and since I was still under my calories for the day I made a stop at a new frozen yogurt place in town to pick up a little treat for me and the hubby. They opened a Sweet Frog store about 2 miles from me and it is YUMMO :) I had a small cup of toffee mocha with a little bit of crushed oreos on it and it was the perfect treat. I'm looking forward to going back with my kids soon. Maybe even after my daughters baseball practice tonight, lol.

Day 3 - Working My Way Down

I went to the gym last night and did the arc trainer for 40 minutes, even though I thought I was going to die. 501 calories burned and worth every drop of sweat. I saw a down tick on the scale this morning, finally after 3 days of seeing the same thing. 180.6 - down .8 from yesterday. I will gladly bust ass at the gym to see a drop on the scale. Seeing that is enough motivation for me to go and do it again tonight.

Day 2....Down to business

The scale didn't budge today for the 3rd day in a row. I know that's better than going up but even a .2 lb loss would be welcome. I went to the gym last night and did 1/2 hour on the arc trainer. The myfitnesspal app on my phone doesn't have the arc trainer as an option under cardio so i track it as an elliptical. I don't know if they're the same but that's the number I have to go with. I'm actually feeling very full this morning after my breakfast of an egg with a little bit of shredded cheddar and 2 slices of bacon. I know that sounds like a pretty unhealthy breakfast but lunch is soup and a sliced cucumber so I was looking for something with some protein in it. I have trouble coming up with ideas for breakfast since I'm trying to keep my carbs lower. If I give myself a goal of around 100g of carbs a day I don't want to eat 1/2-2/3 at breakfast time. Any suggestions of good lower carbs breakfasts would be appreciated.

Day 1.......again

I weighed in this morning at 181.4 the exact same weight I weighed in at yesterday. My new self imposed plan for losing this weight is to aim for 1200 net calories a day once my exercise is factored in and I'm trying to stay at about 100 g of carbs a day. Sounds reasonable enough right? Today not so much. I was confronted with cupcakes and cake at work and just couldn't resist. I know, I know....it shouldn't be so hard to say no right? Well it is. Especially during TOM. Who starts a diet during TOM? Me I guess. Good plan huh? Either way I'm doing ok today on everything but carb consumption. I have a gym trip planned tonight and if I can burn 300 calories, which is pretty much a given I'll be just under 1200 net for the day as long as I don;t eat anything other than what I have planned for dinner tonight that is.

And yet again

Here I go again...I think this is about my 10th try to get back on the weight loss wagon. Hopefully this one sticks. I have motivation other than the obvious to be healthier. Motivation this time comes in the form of 3 trips to the beach this summer and the need to actually be able to fit in my summer clothes from last year, bathing suits included because I can't afford to buy new things. Which means I need to lose at least 10 lbs before the end of June. I know 10lbs in a month doesn't seem like that much of a challange but I know it will be harder than it should be. My mind is so far removed from the idea of weight loss and daily exercise that its going to take alot to bring me back to where I was when I was doing well. Hopefully I can get there mentally faster than I think I can. On another note does anyone know of any challenges starting up? I could use something to jumpstart me.
